Fair warning, this is a bit of a nerdy post. Greetings to my fellow nerds out there!
Let’s assume that essentially we are all energy. Let's further say that you are a waveform and I am a waveform – sine waves to be precise.
When we get together trying to build a team (relationship, business etc.), our waveforms have to combine and overlap. The results are quite telling! Let's look at the two possible extreme scenarios for a better understanding:
When our waveforms are out of phase by 180 degrees the positive displacement of one wave is cancelled exactly by the negative displacement of the other wave. The amplitude of the resulting wave is zero. In our effort to building a team it means that we resist each others ideas and therefore cancel each others energy out, not producing any results together.
In order to build a great team we have to shift our frequencies – we have to tune in with each other. When our waveforms are perfectly in phase the amplitude of the resulting wave is equal to the sum of the individual amplitudes. We resonate and the result is energetic and impactful.
Shifting frequencies and tuning in with each other is not a once-for-all kinda action. It is a constant process. As a possibility become aware of it and make conscious choices of who you want to work with or be with!
